Magister Sejarah / Master in History

Program Studi Magister Sejarah Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Gadjah Mada mulai diselenggarakan pada tahun 1980, sebagai bagian dari Lembaga Pendidikan Doktor Universitas Gadjah Mada. Sejak tahun 1983 sampai tahun 1991, prodi ini menjadi bagian dari Fakultas Pascasarjana UGM. Mulai tahun 1991 kembali menjadi bagian dari Program Pascasarjana UGM dan berdasarkan Surat Keputusan No. 580/Dikti/Kep/1993 tanggal 29 September 1993, ditetapkan secara resmi sebagai Program Studi Sejarah dan Program Pascasarjana UGM. Pada tahun 2007, penyelenggaraannya dialihkan kepada Fakultas Ilmu Budaya UGM. Pada tahun 2015, dilakukan kembali reorganisasi kelembagaan di UGM berupa penghapusan Jurusan dan pembentukan Departemen serta fungsi-fungsi kelembagaan yang ada di tingkat Program Studi, Departemen, Fakultas, dan Universitas. Dari hasil reorganisasi ini, Program Studi Magister Sejarah Fakultas Ilmu Budaya UGM berada di bawah Departemen Sejarah.

The Master’s Program in History at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, was first established in 1980 as part of the Doctoral Education Institute of Universitas Gadjah Mada. From 1983 to 1991, the program was administered under the Graduate Faculty of Universitas Gadjah Mada. Beginning in 1991, it returned to the Graduate Program of Universitas Gadjah Mada and, based on Decree No. 580/Dikti/Kep/1993 dated 29 September 1993, was formally designated as the History Study Program within the Graduate Program of Universitas Gadjah Mada. In 2007, the administration of the program was transferred to the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Subsequently, in 2015, Universitas Gadjah Mada implemented an institutional reorganization that involved the dissolution of departments at the faculty level and the establishment of a new departmental structure, along with a redefinition of institutional functions at the levels of study programs, departments, faculties, and the university. As a result of this reorganization, the Master’s Program in History at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, is currently administered under the Department of History.
