Magister Antropologi / Master in Anthropology

Program Studi Magister Antropologi UGM menyelenggarakan pendidikan lanjut tentang kehidupan sosial-budaya manusia. Melalui pembelajaran partisipatif semi mandiri mahasiswa diasah daya kritisnya untuk mengenali persoalan-persoalan sosial budaya, merumuskan pertanyaan, melaksanakan penelitian guna membangun jawaban melalui pendekatan antropologis yang kokoh, serta menyajikan hasil penelitian dalam narasi etnografis maupun format lain yang komprehensif dan koheren. Program Studi Magister Antropologi terintegrasi dengan Program Studi Sarjana Antropologi Budaya. Pada program studi magister, lulusan diharapkan dapat menguasai teori dan teori aplikasi antropologi secara kritis. Mulai 2022, prodi magister Antropologi membuka minat pemberdayaan, di mana lulusannya diharapkan dapat menguasai teori Antropologi dan mengaplikasikannya untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat.

The Master’s Program in Anthropology at Universitas Gadjah Mada provides advanced education in the study of human social and cultural life. Through participatory and semi-independent learning processes, students are trained to develop critical analytical skills to identify socio-cultural issues, formulate research questions, conduct research using robust anthropological approaches, and present research findings in ethnographic narratives as well as other comprehensive and coherent academic formats. The Master’s Program in Anthropology is academically integrated with the Undergraduate Program in Cultural Anthropology. At the master’s level, graduates are expected to demonstrate critical mastery of anthropological theories and their applied frameworks. Beginning in 2022, the Master’s Program in Anthropology introduced a specialization in Community Empowerment, through which graduates are expected to master anthropological theory and apply it effectively to community empowerment initiatives.
