Magister Ilmu Biomedik / Master in Biomedical Sciences

Prodi Magister Ilmu Biomedik (MIB) merupakan salah satu prodi S2 di UGM yang berfokus pada bidang biomedik dengan karakteristik pengembangan ilmu-ilmu kedokteran dasar dan preklinis. Prodi Magister Ilmu Biomedik terdiri dari berbagai minat terkait ilmu kedokteran, yaitu: Anatomi, Histologi dan Biologi Sel, Biokimia, Fisiologi, Farmakologi, Kedokteran Molekuler, Reproduksi Manusia, Parasitologi, dan Double Degree Dynamic of Emerging and Infectious Diseases (DYNAMEID). Walaupun terdiri dari berbagai minat berdasarkan disiplin ilmu kedokteran, MIB juga mempunyai fokus-fokus riset yang dapat menunjang tesis mahasiswa, seperti nutrigenomic, farmakogenomik, kedokteran herbal, gagal ginjal dan fibrosis, cancer biology, genomic and precision medicine, neuroscience, nano-medicine dan aplikasi teknologi nano, cedera vaskular-metabolik, serta imunologi dan infeksi. Kami sudah terakreditasi Unggul dari LAM-PTKes. Pengembangan softskills mahasiswa juga menjadi prioritas kami dengan berbagai macam workshop terkait, seperti workshop soft skills dan pengembangan diri, workshop teaching dan dasar-dasar media ajar, workshop penulisan manuskrip internasional, job hunting, workshop biostatistik serta adanya blok elektif yang bersifat multidisiplin. Mulai tahun 2017, kami menerapkan Output Based Education (OBE) untuk kurikulum MIB.

The Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences is a graduate-level (Strata 2) program at Universitas Gadjah Mada that focuses on the biomedical field, with a distinctive emphasis on the development of basic and preclinical medical sciences. The program offers a wide range of areas of specialization within the medical sciences, including Anatomy; Histology and Cell Biology; Biochemistry; Physiology; Pharmacology; Molecular Medicine; Human Reproduction; Parasitology; and a Double Degree program in the Dynamics of Emerging and Infectious Diseases (DYNAMEID). In addition to these disciplinary specializations, the Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences also prioritizes several key research focus areas to support students’ thesis work, such as nutrigenomics, pharmacogenomics, herbal medicine, kidney failure and fibrosis, cancer biology, genomic and precision medicine, neuroscience, nanomedicine and nanotechnology applications, vascular-metabolic injury, as well as immunology and infectious diseases. The program has been awarded the highest accreditation status, “Unggul (Excellent)”, by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes). The development of students’ soft skills is also a key priority, supported through a variety of workshops and training activities, including soft skills and personal development workshops, teaching and instructional media development workshops, international manuscript writing workshops, job preparation and career development sessions, biostatistics workshops, as well as multidisciplinary elective blocks. Since 2017, the Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences has implemented an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum.
